Zero Theorem — Trailer
Take one of the most prolific directors of all time, Terry Gilliam, mix in a healthy dose of Christof Waltz, and place the setting in a strangely familiar future and you get Zero Theorem.
The story centers around an angst-ridden computer genius named Qohen (Waltz) who is working on solving the Zero Theorem (the theorem that supposedly proves that existence is meaningless) until he comes across a girl who changes his whole life, played by Mélanie Thierry, and gives him meaning in his existence. It seems to be playing much like Gilliam’s cult classic Brazil which had a somewhat similar storyline. There isn’t a solid release date for the US market yet and I doubt it will get a wide release but it has been fairing well at film festivals, so I guess it’s a matter of time before it does. I’m genuinely excited as I’m a huge fan of his movies and of Christof Waltz.
