The Witch and the Hundred Knight Coming to PS3s Overseas in 2014
Nippon Ichi Software’s ambitious action-RPG entry is ready to leave Japan.
NIS America has announced today that The Witch and the Hundred Knight, a title that has been in development in-house since early 2010, will spread its evil wings and fly to both European and North America PlayStation 3 audiences in early 2014, following a solid Japanese release and Famitsu review scores of 8/8/8/7.
In The Witch and the Hundred Knight, players will take control of Metallia (changed from Metallica in its Japanese release for obvious safety reasons.), a Swamp Witch with an appetite for destruction, but cannot leave the confines of her swamp. Players must help Metallia grow even stronger, so she can destroy the protective barriers surrounding the swamp and allow it to grow larger.
Unlike Nippon Ichi’s previous in-house productions, The Witch and the Hundred Knight is rendered completely in 3D, but still features that character design charm that they’re known for. Purists will be happy to know that the game will also offer both the English and Japanese audio options, just in case you can’t get enough Metallica.
