Weezer Frontman to Guest Record…With Katy Perry?
Rivers Cuomo, better known as the lead singer of the alternative rock band Weezer, announced Wednesday to Buzznet that he will be hitting the recording studio this week with buxom pop artist Katy Perry, potentially for her upcoming album. For a band still struggling to achieve its former glory, only to produce two mediocre albums in a row (Make Believe and The Red Album) and be tagged as “sellouts” by former fanatics, this is probably not the best decision to improve their image. Their new album, Raditude, hits the shelves on November 3rd, and I’m cautiously optimistic about it. With an album cover this awesome, it can’t afford to suck.
