Guy Ritchie

Guy Ritchie, you know…the guy who made Sherlock Holmes really fun and made some of the best caper movies I’ve seen (i.e. Snatch) has been working with Warner Bros. to bring to the big screen a faithful adaptation of Arthurian legends.

The first film is being developed by Joby Harold who wrote the movie’s first draft, is set to be produced by Akiva Goldsman, Tory Tunnell, and Lionel Wigram. The series is rumored to be based directly on the Thomas Mallory 15th century work “Le Morte d’Arthur” which contains in itself eight books, which follow from birth to death the legendary leader of Britain in the late 5th and 6th centuries.

I’d be interested in watching the movies, but good Crom…do we really need SIX movies? I’m guessing there will be 2 years in between each so there will be a good 12 years of my life spent waiting for a conclusion.
