Today’s Moment of DERP – Beacon, NY

A small buisness owner in the township of Beacon, New York was forced to shut the doors to his buisness due to an archaic law in the city that makes it illegal for there to be pinball and arcade games in the city.

Fred Bobrow, owner and proprietor of the Retro Arcade Museum in the city was facing a $1,000 a day fine and jail time if he didn’t shut his business down, luckily the city council is fast at work repealing this law so hopefully one day, he’ll be able to reopen his business.

I miss arcades, and I think that any place that would be as classy as this one appears to be would open up in my area, I’d be on a first name basis with Mr. Bobrow within a week.
