I never would have dreamed that someone would make a music video for Guile’s theme song (from Street Fighter II fame), much less one with lyrics drawing attention to the one distinguishing feature that most fans probably never noticed. Warning, slightly NSFW (cartoon blood and an f word, gasp!) content.
I know, I know, what you’re saying to yourself is probably something along the lines of “yay another Ken/Ryu history lesson”, but listen…not everyone has watched all of the same obscure anime, VCDs, or has played every single game since the series first began oh so many years ago. Not everyone is burnt out on […]
Consider this my contribution to Weeaboo Wednesday today.
This is a music video for the song “Ninja Chips” by Rymdreglage & Ninjamoped that combines a lot of old school video games with stop motion coin art.
Incase you haven’t got enough Street Fighter games to choose from, you can pick up an arcade port of Street Fighter III Third Strike soon.
We all know what comics are, but do many of you know what a motion comic is? Well if you’ve never experienced one before, I think Udon’s Street Fighter: The New Challengers should be a good start.
Though I try to keep from riding the hypetrain, I must admit that these new trailers have got me revved up for the newest fighting game from Capcom. I mean, who doesn’t want to see a beautiful CGI fight featuring Ken and Ryu against Kazuya and Nina? Once again, Capcom’s CGI department nails it with […]
Yep, you may be buying Street Fighter IV for a THIRD time before you know it.
There really isn’t anything to say here, other than
If you’re a fan of the fighting games, then you know the name Daigo Umehara all too well. You might recall him from that one EVO 2004 video where he managed to parry all of the kicks in Chun-Li’s super combo finish, only to turn it around on her. I tell ya what, click me […]
Namco and Capcom have apparently donned the proverbial “Best Friends Forever” heart necklaces this San Diego Comic Con, as they’ve announced a two game collaboration that confused everyone. Capcom is developing Street Fighter X Tekken while Namco is developing Tekken X Street Fighter meaning both 2D and 3D fighting game fans should not be disappointed […]
The only thing that could have saved this game series from becoming the endless set of repeated games with additional characters and modes (which I lived through with Street Fighter II, mind you) was adding in a character that could make the people playing laugh their asses off. They’ve done just that with Hakan.
Ok, so by now I’m hoping that you have found yourself a character. A character that you are comfortable enough with to actually go take on other real humans. Playing online can be extremely rewarding, but it can also cause someone to piss themselves, cry, and return SFIV to the store never speaking of it […]
Welcome to for now, Gibbo’s Corner, my replacement feature for Weekend PSAs. Listen to me ramble on about whatever I want. This week you can hear me talking about why I can’t show propaganda bullshit every week, training for Street Fighter IV, sticking it to the guy on Reddit who laughed at me wondering whether […]
So you’ve picked up SFIV and you’ve been playing it for a few days. As you continue to grind through the game with it set on ‘Easiest’ difficulty to unlock characters, you think to yourself, “Man… this game is pretty damn easy.” Well my friend, there is a whole world of depth that awaits you, […]
