I don’t normally like stooping to making posts about the financial reporting of any company, but today I just couldn’t help myself after reading online that Square Enix is blaming everyone else for their business losses this year.
It was only a matter of time before the newest trailer for Square Enix’s follow up to Final Fantasy XIII would get a new trailer, and today is that day. I guess I’ll never learn my lesson when it comes to Final Fantasy games.
When I reported last week that other websites were making too big of a deal off of Square-Enix registering the website domain finalfantasy13-2game.com, I believed that this was going to be a redirect site for the eventually coming Final Fantasy XIII Versus. Turns out I was wrong.
Today, it was discovered that by people with far too much time on their hands that “Corporation Service Company”, a group that has formerly registered domains for Square-Enix, has gotten its hands on the domain finalfantasy13-2game.com. What does this mean for the gaming world? Probably nothing, but, as expected, speculations are already flying in. Final […]
Alright, I’ll admit it…I’m one of THOSE type of gamers that bases an initial opinion on a game before actually giving it a chance. Usually this works out well for me, and I had every intention on loving the living hell out of Square’s latest in the single-player Final Fantasy experiences, Final Fantasy XIII…I should […]
It’s been weeks, maybe months since Final Fantasy came out and while we’re already over it, there was a quote that came from the mouth of someone I actually respect in the industry that is just good to pass over.
Well, tonight is the night that many of us Final Fantasy fanatics have been waiting a hell of a long time to come, we North American gamers will finally get a chance to play Final Fantasy XIII. This all started this weekend when I got a text message from my local Gamestop notifying me that […]
If you so wished to install the newest Final Fantasy on your Xbox 360 when it comes out, you’ll have to make sure that you have at the very least 7 gigs available to do so.
Say what you will about JRPGs, whether they’ve become too linear or just so clichéd in the types of characters and the situations they find themselves in. you can always guarantee that millions of gamers here in the Western portions of the world will be lapping this game up next month.
You know, with a game that’s been in development as long as Final Fantasy XIII was. You would think that they would have the entirety of the game’s content available day one. Turns out even Square’s flagship title isn’t exempt from the DLC bug.
I, for one, will be enjoying the one-disc only version of Final Fantasy XIII on my PS3. Call me a fanboy, but nothing drags you out of a game more than having to swap discs. The great news is that it isn’t going to be the massive 27-DVD volumes like many people made photoshops of. […]
Well it looks like Square Enix is trying their hardest to make sure that the fans of Final Fantasy all the world over are happy, at least the ones that can read English that is. I saw the Japanese only one earlier this week and could understand a little about what was happening (3 years […]
Square Enix right now has three flagship series that currently makes them their healthy doses of money: Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts. In an effort to make even more money and appease the people who are clammoring for more and more games to come from the power-publisher, Square Enix talked to Yahoo! Japan […]
The guys over at VG247 should be applauded for asking direct and difficult questions to game companies and the people who make them. They recently caught up with two of Square’s big-names at GamesCom last week and asked what everyone else has been thinking.
