Comics You Care About: Release Date, Wed Sept 7, 2011
What? I’m trying to revive this feature? Hell yes. Wait, I put ALL the comics for this week into one super mega post? I’m probably insane.
Soldier Zero #11 – Mini Review
I hope you like to read a whole bunch of internal dialogue of someone who isn’t the titular character in the comic.
Irredeemable #28 – Mini Review
It’s about a week late, but I’ve just finished going through the stack of comics I got from my hold.
Farscape #22 – Mini Review
I can’t quit this comic series, no matter how annoyed I get with some of the artwork and the fact that Rockne S. O’Bannon can’t let dead characters remain dead.
Starborn #9 – Mini Review
Khary Randolph and Chris Roberson have stolen the title of favorite new comic away and aren’t sorry about doing so.
The Rinse #1 – Review
I’ve read comics that span from anything from the life and times of high school students all the way to stuff that’s not appropriate to discuss in polite civilization, or around anyone really. But the one thing that I never thought I’d be reading is a comic based on a money launderer.
Walking Dead Season 2, Kirkman Spills Some Beans
Walking Dead Creator/Writer Robert Kirkman spills more info about Hershel’s Farm and Season 2 in general.
Starborn #8 – Review
The Stan Lee BOOM!-iverse crossovers have begun…and I can’t say that I’m against it. I bet you’re intrigued enough to read some more aren’t you?!?
Elric: The Balance Lost #1 – Review
What happens when you take three creations of living prolific fantasy writer Michael Moorcock and force them to work together to save the multiverse? You get Elric: The Balance Lost, that’s what.
There is NO REASON You Can’t Read, Elric: The Balance Lost
Why is there no reason? Because BOOM! Studios made it so damn accessible it’s impossible to not have a way to get your hands on the new comic.
BOOM! Studios Gives WPR ‘The Rinse’
Get ready for some kick ass modern day crime noir coming your way soon. Oh, and it’s only a buck? Sweet.
Interview – Aaron Kuder
I can’t believe that I’ve now had the chance to interview not one, but two of the creators for The Amory Wars: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 comic series from BOOM! Studios and Evil Ink Comics.
Starborn #7 – Review
I was a bit unsure after last month’s issue as to where they would be taking this series after the terrible truth about Ben’s father finally surfaced. Thankfully, Chris Roberson has managed to escape from the corner he was written into with great skill as I’m back to being the voracious reader once again.
Boom! Studios Sneak Peeks June 8
Would it be a sneak peeks week for comics without our favorite publisher here at WPR? I didn’t think so either, check out what Boom! has this week.
