Silent Hill Collection coming in the Fall And Silent Hill Vita Details
Silent Hill 2 and 3 are coming in HD this fall, but this collection is PS3 only. In terms of new details, the games will get Playstation Trophy support and all new voice acting, which probably explains why James Sunderland of Silent Hill 2’s voice actor was contacted by Konami back in October last year.
We also got some more details on the PSVita exclusive, Silent Hill: Book Of Memories. There’s no release date but it will be a new story and the game’s soundtrack will be composed by Daniel Licht, who is composing Silent Hill: Downpour and has worked on the soundtracks for a number of films and TV shows including Dexter.
Finally, the game will have a co-op mode, which means that the series will break away from single player only for the first time. It could be a really cool and interesting element, given how much Silent Hill’s appearance and enemies are down to the perception of the protagonists and how could that be affected with two protagonists working together.
As for the collection, it seems strange not to put it on 360 when the other two Konami collections are going to be multiplatform. Perhaps it will be a timed exclusive, but it’s not as if Silent Hill has ever been a Sony exclusive franchise.
