Rosemary's Baby

From American Horror Story writer James Wong and NBC comes a little baby called Rosemary’s Baby. A baby in the form of a TV four part miniseries based on the 1967 horror novel by Ira Levin. This isn’t exactly the newest of news for all of us, but what is news is that NBC has confirmed Zoe Saldana will play the lead role as Rosemary, the baby mama. The executive Vice President of Movies, Miniseries, and International Co-Productions from NBC Entertainment stated that;

Zoe has proven that she is one of our most gifted actresses and we think she has the perfect combination of spirit and gravitas to take on the title role from Ira Levin’s infamous novel.

In 1968 the novel was turned into a movie (Rosemary’s Baby), casting the lead role to a not-so-well-known Mia Farrow. At the time Entertainment Weekly voted it the tenth scariest film of all time. You can always buy a copy on Amazon: Rosemary’s Baby (The Criterion Collection) [Blu-ray]

If you haven’t read the book (Also available on Amazon: Rosemary’s Baby), I suggest you do so prior to the miniseries. If you haven’t seen the film, Ira Levin felt Rosemary’s Baby was “the single most faithful adaptation of a novel ever to come out of Hollywood.”

The fact that James Wong is involved is enough to get me excited about this miniseries. What are your thoughts on whether they can make this series a success or not?
