Red Dead Redemption GOTY Edition Coming Next Month

Slowly but surely GOTY Editions are spreading beyond just RPGs. Red Dead Redemption will be the latest to get this treatment.The GOTY Edition of Red Dead Redemption will be released in the US on October 11th and the UK on October 14th for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 (still no PC version). Unsurprisingly, it will contain the original game as well as all of the DLC released since. That ranges from extra characters and maps for the game’s multiplayer mode including the free farewell pack (Legend And Killers Pack, Liars And Cheats Pack, Myths And Mavericks Pack), small pieces of co-op DLC, single player missions and outfits and finally the Zombie Single Player expansion Undead Nightmare. The original game will also receive a new “hardcore” difficulty.

No details on pricing but I would be surprised if it was any less than the usual $60. Red Dead Redemption was a quite a good game, and there’s certainly a meaty amount of content in that GOTY Edition. I would have thought by now though that anyone who wanted to play the game will already have done so.
