PSN Logins Exploited
Just when you thought it was finally over, something else happens. Poor Sony, I really do feel bad for them.
While it’s not entirely a brand new Sony hack, it’s still something to glance at. The problem is their lost password service. Before, all you needed to do was enter your e-mail, confirm your birth date and select a new password. Of course all of that was stolen in the month long downtime of the PSN and it’s all taken and could be exploited so you’d never return your account.
Though Sony has released an official statement, claiming that no hacking was involved but apparently “In the process of resetting of passwords there was a URL exploit that we have subsequently fixed” [Source]. So the lesson here is once the login sites come back online, go check out your passwords. Make sure everything is all right.
