Penny Arcade: PATV
You’d have to be living under a internet rock if you don’t know what the webcomic Penny Arcade is. For the past couple of months, they started their own WebTV Channel, with a new episode dropping every Friday. Currently, there are two shows. Penny Arcade: The Series, and Blamination with Kris and Scott. Are these short ten or so minute shows worth it?
Honestly, I can’t wait for Friday morning break, the first place I go to is PATV to see what’s been put up. So, you have your two options, Penny Arcade: The Series, a inside look type of feature giving you a peek of what it’s like inside their workplace and what goes into their jobs. Blaminations are animated shorts done by Kris Straub and Scott Kurtz, you never know what they are going to draw and I’ve yet to not laugh. The duo of animators really bring you the funny, and if you want a nice smile to break up a crummy work day, these are a welcome relic.
If your office allows you to stream videos, and you can jack your headphones into your computer, you have to check these out, especially Penny Arcade: The Series. If you are a fan of Penny Arcade and want to see a workplace that will make you envy what they have been able to build. Watch them. I suggest though that after you watch these guys doing something that they obviously love and have passion for, use it as inspiration. These guys can show you that if you really have a passion and stick to your guns, stay honest, humble, work your ass off for it, and love what you do, good things can happen.
You don’t have to follow the shows in succession, you can hop around, but I really suggest you watch them all. It’s not like you have better things to do at your job. http://www.penny-arcade.com/patv/
