Mad Catz, the official peripheral manufacturer for “Rock Band” is going to be re-releasing the game this Winter.

From the official press release:

San Diego – August 10, 2011 – Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (“Mad Catz”)
(AMEX/TSX: MCZ) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Harmonix® Music Systems, Inc., to re-release the critically acclaimed Rock Band 3 this holiday season and beyond. Mad Catz anticipates that it will bundle Rock Band 3 software with its popular Rock Band 3 Wireless Keyboard Controller, Wireless Fender™ Stratocaster™ Guitar Controller and Wireless Fender Mustang™ PRO-Guitar Controller, an instrument controller which allows gamers to learn to play real guitar and bass parts for Rock Band 3’s 83 song set list and regularly released downloadable PRO-Guitar content.

There were no prices set on these but if I were a betting man, I would wager that the Keys and Guitar bundle will probably come out to 149.99 and the pro guitar model at 199. That is purely speculation, but I would really look into picking this game up if you haven’t, it is by far one of the most accessible Rock Band titles out there. I still buy songs for it every chance that I get.
