Incorruptible #9
Something is coming down the turnpike in Incorruptible #9. Literally. The only problem is Max Damage and Jailbait are in Star City tracking down the one who leaked Max Damage’s secret invulnerability to his enemies: one of the Plutonian’s ex-girlfriends. This does not lead to the big clash between the Plutonian and Max that I have been waiting for, but we do have a quick trip down memory lane that teases what will happen when they do meet again.
Incorruptible #9 is by the usual suspects: Mark Waid writes and Horacio Domingues draws. Nothing wrong with that at all.
Whereas the last couple of issues had focused more on the new Jailbait, this one story juxtaposes the past with the present to contrast the old Jailbait with Max’s new partner. What we learn is not pretty. Max also continues to redeem himself as he strives to be a better man.
I have said it before, and I’ll say it again: Buy this book.
