Dead Space 2 – More Scarier?

If you’ve ever spent any time playing Visceral Games’ Dead Space (now a greatest hits on the PS3), then I’m sure you’ve caught a few scares that kept you paranoid of the darkness for a few days. Well, the developers are hoping to pack in even more of that scary goodness.

In an interview with G4, Visceral producer Rich Briggs stated the following about Dead Space 2:

“To Steve’s [Papoutsis, producer for Dead Space 2] point, yeah, we are still gonna be a horror game, yes, we are still Dead Space, we’re gonna scare the pants off you as many times as we can, but Issac’s been through this before, so he’s a little bit more capable this time around, he’s going to have some times where he can actually have an epic moment and it is like a rollercoaster ride.”

I’ll just be pissed if they find a way to Metroid Issac at the beginning of the game…Metroid-ing is a verb that means that all the goodies he got in the first game are gone in the new game. I personally loved Dead Space a hell of a lot more than most of the other ‘horror’ games that have been coming out on the HD systems.

There’s nothing quite like a game that has you questioning where the bad guys are going to come from, and has you going around curb stomping dead bodies.
