Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome – Concept Art

I knew that there was a new Battlestar Galactica ‘movie’ coming out on SyFy but I had no idea that it would look this awesome.

The movie will be focused on a young Ensign William Adama during the humans’ 10th year of the First Cylon War…fans of the newer series who watched Razor will remember how awesome those scenes were.

Executive producer David Eick has been quoted as saying that this will be an “authentic, relentless depiction of combat and the agony and ecstasy of human-Cylon war, which was the hallmark of Battlestar Galactica’s early seasons.”

After seeing these concept images, I’m inclined to believe him. Especially the one with the giant snake Cylon. I’d pay $30 for this if the movie manages to sneak in what has dubbed the “Cython”.

For more information on what the new movie will be about, look no further than the movie’s press release, as it tells the story better than I can.

“Ensign William Adama, barely in his 20’s and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet … the Galactica. The talented but hot-headed risk-taker soon finds himself leading a dangerous top secret mission that, if successful, will turn the tide of the decade long war in favor of the desperate fleet.”

Please keep in mind that these are just concept art for the movie so what you get as a final product might not appear as this is portrayed…but I hope to crom that it does.
