Move over, Deadpool, there is a new face of insanity. Axe Cop: President of the World #2 continues its streak of absurd and breakneck storytelling (from an 8-year-old, nonetheless) combined with amazing artwork. Our last issue left us with Axe Cop, Goo Cop, and Junior Cobb (a large gorilla with metal arms and a sense of justice) about to face off with all the evil in the world. With all of the other heroes traveling through time, they are vastly outnumbered and defeat seems eminent.

In typical Axe Cop fashion, many of the bad guys are annoyed that they missed the fight with the good guys, so they plot to kill the evil scientist that got them all together. Conveniently, he has a “destroy all traitors” button, evening the playing field for our trio by leaving only Chee-Rex (a Cheetah/Tyrannosaurus Rex hybrid) and his motorcycle. His motorcycle turns out to be two rogue robots who first plan to use the Space Needle to stab God in the heart, but will later settle on killing Satan with a water cake.

When first tasked with reviewing this series, I wasn’t quite sure how Malachai Nicolle could wrap up all of his plot threads in just 3 issues. If you go into Axe Cop with this attitude, do yourself a favor and drop it. To paraphrase Mystery Science Theater 3000, this is just a comic…”you should really just relax”. Just enjoy the crazy ride you are on…and trust me, you’ll enjoy every minute of it.
