Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Sequel in the Works…Already
Damn, Konami, you definitely aren’t wasting any time with your franchise reboot. Oscar Araujo, composer of the soundtrack to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, let slip that the he had been hard at work at the music for the previously unannounced sequel, claiming that “the second will be more spectacular”. The sequel will yet again be […]
WPR Discusses: Internet TV
Internet memes have been making more and more appearances on television lately, but now instead of making brief appearances in existing shows, they’re becoming shows themselves. With “Shit My Dad Says” on the air now and with two more on the way (Shh Don’t Tell Steve and Awkward Family Photos), is this a welcome change […]
Begun, The Cloud War Has
Now that OnLive has removed its albatross of subscription fees, it’s time for the much-discussed cloud gaming competition to step up. Today, Gaikai stepped up to the plate, revealing that their service would go live before the end of the year. CEO David Perry, of Earthworm Jim and MDK fame, stated that Gaikai would be […]
Killzone Shows PlayStation Plus has Real Perks
Sony has got something big under their sleeves…for PlayStation Plus members. On October 19th, an exclusive Killzone 3 XMB theme will appear in the PlayStation Store. I implore those living in either American or European territories to download this as soon as possible. The first 10,000 people to do so (5,000 for each area) will […]
Dear Nintendo, Stop Being Afraid of New IPs
(Note: This information came from an originally Japanese article, translated by Google Translate, and interpreted to the best of my ability.) Kirby’s Epic Yarn looks amazing, there is no doubt in my mind about that, but I’ve always felt like there was something off with the title. Kirby seemed to have traded his assimilating appetite […]
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Hitting iOS Tomorrow
I hope you’re happy, Apple device users. While console players have to wait until next week to get their first taste in what may be a much needed revival of Sonic the Hedgehog, you’ll get it tomorrow. What I cannot release to you is the price. Simply put, we really don’t know yet. Fifteen dollars […]
Dead Space Ignition XBLA Priced and Dated
Dead Space was easily one of the best titles of 2008, a rare case where plenty of firepower didn’t reduce the effect of a claustrophobic horror experience. Though we won’t see its sequel until the beginning of the new year, Xbox 360 owners can expect to get a taste of what the next game will […]
Borderlands GOTY Edition Comes With a Special Surprise
Just when you thought this site couldn’t talk more about the now year-old Borderlands, think again. Gearbox Software is including an additional prize to those late to the party, in the form of what they’ve dubbed the Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club. By purchasing the upcoming Borderlands Game of the Year edition, players will […]
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Dated
I may not be one of the over 11.5 million people engaged in this franchise, but I must give them credit for putting the effort in to keep their title fresh. For those of you that do care, the following news may require a change in pants. Cataclysm, the newest expansion in World of Warcraft, […]
Alan Wake’s Story Continues October 12th
Ever since Alan Wake was released in May, I’ve been wanting more and more adventures with this fascinating character. The first piece of DLC, The Signal, which was available for free to anyone who purchased the game new, proved that developer Remedy Entertainment would not cheapen the experience through these short additions. Now Remedy is […]
The All-Nighter
It is a universal fact that a person, when introduced to a new piece of credit, will immediately attempt to create something that exists already (if they don’t take a detour to genital city first). This video, created by a ‘Doctor Legua’ should serve as a grim warning to what happens when ineptitude and plagiarism […]
Good Old Games Set to Relaunch After PR ‘Hoax’ [UPDATED]
First off, I feel I must say this: my bad. Good Old Games suddenly went down recently, citing of business and technical reasons as the cause…and I bought it. Hook, line, and sinker. Little did I know that I was a victim of clever wordplay.

The All-Nighter
Tonight’s All-Nighter is a long one, but guaranteed to disturb you awake. Food is a surreal animated short by Czech artist Jan Švankmajer, who I admittedly had never heard of before tonight. Though now after seeing Food, I know I will (and possibly you too) be on the lookout for more from this animator.
Firmware Update 3.50 for PS3 to Add 3D Support
The details on the forthcoming firmware update 3.50 for the PlayStation 3 have finally gone live, and, unlike our previous update this one actually has content. Included in 3.50 is the long expected Blu-ray 3D disc playback, improved Facebook interaction, and an improved griefing report system so you can complain about the people mocking you […]
