Avatar Prequel Novel in the Works
If you’re one of the fans of the Avatar universe (like me) news like this is exciting. Jon Landau, the producer of Avatar, revealed in an interview that James Cameron is planning on writing a prequel book to help answer some of the more nagging plot-holes and questions that, at least some of us, would […]
Oh Snap, Final Fantasy I & II on iPhone?
This made my day, and is the first time I’ve heard of these being ported to the iPhone. To me, the iPhone is officially in competition as King of handhelds now. I hope beyond hope that they bring out FFVI for the iPhone. I’d pay upwards of $20 for that.
New Splinter Cell: Conviction Video
The much anticipated Splinter Cell: Conviction that’s slated to be released on the 13th and 16th in the US and the UK respectively is looking pretty damn hot. The video you’re seeing appears to be near identical to the one shown at E3 last year, only…there are some differences. Considering I still play the other […]
Microsoft – “Natal will have a 5 Year Lifespan”
It seems that Microsoft is planning on tacking on an additional 5 years to the Xbox 360…OR they have another console in the works that will work better with Natal. I highly doubt that the 5 year lifespan for Natal is going to be 5 years on the current hardware that we’ve all been playing […]
MWN Discusses: Dante’s Inferno not Being Released in the Middle East
We had a few great games coming out last week, but for me, THE game to get was Dante’s Inferno. We caught wind of the game not being sold in the Middle East. This raises a couple of poignant questions. 1) Are they afraid of offending Muslim people because it’s a story of a guy […]
Morning Cup o’ Music
In celebration of President’s Day today, in which most of us Whores are stuck at work with nothing better to do. I present to you one of the most awesome songs/memes to hit the internet in a long time. I can relate to this song because…let’s all face it, we’re all bananas. LOOK AT ME […]
Halo: Reach’s First ViDoc – Once More Into the Breach
The minds at Bungie have provided us with a few new details of Halo: Reach’s story, characters and how they designed the game to play out in an all new ViDoc titled “Once More Into the Breach”. While it’s nice hearing the developers pimp their product, I was watching it looking for subtle clues as […]
New SSX Game on the Horizon
We’ve got a wait ahead of us, fellow SSX fanboys. Sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2011, we’ll finally get our hands on a HD SSX game, and you’d never guess who’s developing it…mother effing Criterion. That’s right, the same guys who were responsible for the excellent Burnout series will be making their own version […]
Toy Story 3 – New Trailer
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you your Academy Award Winner for Best Animated Film in 2011, Toy Story 3! The trailer was released yesterday and I’m just now posting it here at MediaWhore? Seriously I’m slipping! This trailer takes me back to those days when we first heard of the guys from Pixar. Who would […]
Morning Cup o’ Music
There will be some of you people out there that think that I’ve gone completely fucking mad by including “The Trial” from Pink Floyd’s The Wall as one of the songs used during this week of 1980s kid movies songs. But you have to understand the household in which I grew up. Yes, it was […]
Deus Ex 3 – No Longer Rumor
The online listing for GDC this year just let a cat out of the bag for Eidos. The lecture titled, “Creating a Unique Visual Direction: The Successes and Failures of Creating a Near-Future Cyberpunk Setting with a Renaissance Twist in Deus Ex 3” should pretty much kill any speculation on whether or not there is […]
Hot Tub Time Machine – New Trailer
March 26, be there. The most outrageous movie title and plot since Snakes on a Plane promises to give us boobs, booze, and awesome 80s references. Too bad this plot is straight out of the TV Sitcom playbook. Doesn’t matter, I’m going to love this film.
Akira Live Action Film Gets Direction
I’m not entirely sure why Akira needs a live action movie made by Hollywood, the manga and 1982 animated film were quite enough to satisfy me. But at least they’re attaching some cool names to this project.
Brink – New Screens
Bethesda and Splash Damage were kind enough to share with us, a few new screenshots of their game Brink that is set to be released in the fourth quarter of this year. The game utilizes the id Tech 4 engine, which provides some of the smoothest looking screenshots I’ve ever seen.
Morning Cup o’ Music
Setting the waaaaay back machine to the year I was born, 1980, we have one of the finest comic based movies to ever be made, Popeye. You might scoff about this film, but look at the cast. You have Robin Williams as Popeye, Shelly Duvall as Olive Oyl, and my favorite Paul L. Smith (remember […]
