7 Books to Read Before They Hit the Big Screen
This summer is going to see a WHOLE bunch of book to movie adaptations. If you’re a bibliophile like me, having one of your most loved books adapted for the big screen is one of your favorite things (or least favorite depending on the adaptation). I like to read the book, if I haven’t already, before I see the movie because I like to imagine how the actors and director are going to interpret the book. I’ve made up a reading list for you, so you can read them before you watch. Each book cover is linked up to its corresponding Goodreads page–make sure you add them to your to read shelf!
Here are seven books to read before they hit the big screen this summer:
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
What it’s about: 16-year-old Hazel has cancer, but a medical miracle has given her a few extra years. At a kid-with-cancer support group, she meets Augustus, a fellow cancer survivor, and the two fall in love. You can check out my short revisit of the novel HERE.
Who’s in it: The two lead characters are played by the lovely Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, who were also both in the book to movie adaptation of Divergent.
