Zombieland TV Show in the Works at FOX?

Obviously this has nothing to do with The Walking Dead on AMC and the HOLY CRAP numbers it produced.

Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese who wrote the script for Zombieland actually tried pitching it (obviously unfruitfully) as a TV show at first. When it failed to get anybodies attention did they turn it into a movie. Even after that it wasn’t seen with much fanfare until it released in the theaters and people flocked to watch it. While the studio probably sat there scratching their heads trying to figure out why people liked it, The Walking Dead premiered on AMC and crushed all before it.

I guess by this point Fox realized that Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese knew what the hell they were doing the first time around and might be green-lighting the show this time around. Of course, this is all rumor-mill because well, there is nothing official. Honestly, I don’t know what to think about it, the movie was done just right to me, a TV show would spoil it for me.

At least for Wernick and Reese it’s been said that Paramount and Hasbro have tapped them to make a Micronauts (red-headed bitch cousin of Transformers) movie as a potential J.J. Abrams production.
