WoW holds up StarCraft 2: Another reason to hate WoW
It’s hard, but I hate you even more now.
Our friends over at Eurogamer recently posted an article of an interview with Blizzard’s vice-president of game design, Rob Pardo. In this very interesting interview, Pardo admits that WoW was a major reason StarCraft 2 has been delayed.
One of the reasons that StarCraft II had some delays very early on in development is because a fair amount of the design team went onto World of Warcraft for a year to really help finish that game off -Pardo
Ugh. Now I really hate WoW. I thought it was enough to hate WoW just on principle alone but now I have a brand new reason. So for any of you WoW-haters on MWN, here’s some fresh fuel to throw onto the fire in your heart.
But for some reason, with all the money that Blizzard has, I’m not really believing that they couldn’t have hired more programmers to work on both at once. I know some of you would say, “They are maintaining the quality of the original” or some such thing like that. I still don’t buy it.
