A STITCH IN TIME… IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF THE STORY.

Contributing Authors: Gabrielle Harbowy, Christine Morgan, Bo Balder, Stephanie Bissette-Roark, Tom Howard, Kate Brandt, Caren Gussoff, Bob Brown, Garth Upshaw, Kodiak Julian, Julie McGalliard, J.H. Fleming, Eva Langston, Camille Griep, Alaina Ewing, and Rebecca Fung.

Official Synopsis: Exquisite revenge and knitted doppelgängers; heartbreak and happy endings; unicorns, doomed dogs, and penitent frogs; steampunk fairies, conflicted stepmothers, and baseball—you’ll find it all here. Our literary alchemists weave a spell of fascination, drawing you deeper and deeper, tale by tale, until escape is impossible. But you’ll enjoy every minute of the plunge.

These sixteen deft and delightful stories involving witches, stitches, and bitches run the gamut from darkly disturbing to just plain fun. They will each take you out of the ordinary and into the world of magic, where older, weirder, or merely other rules apply. And just when you think things are all sewn up… some bitch may have a surprise for you.

My Review of Witches, Stiches & Bitches

I’ll be the first to admit I don’t typically review books. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy reading. I love reading, in fact I read quite often. When it comes down to it though my extensive knowledge and love for film have always won out on the battle for my time. Usually when I get a book for review I usually pass it off to one of my fellow writers. When I received Witches, Stitches & Bitches I couldn’t help but take a little peak. I started to read the first story Blood Magic and instantly became hooked. It was clear from the beginning that this book wasn’t going to pull any punches. It was dark, gritty, and beautiful is so many ways. I continued on to the second story, and before I knew it I was hooked! I should have prefaced my review by admitting my favorite protagonists usually are women. It seems like they are a natural underdog, and who doesn’t like an underdog story? So often women are degraded, and discounted by men. No matter what the culture, it seems that despite giving birth to all of us, women have to furtherer struggle to be appreciated for their talents and abilities. So reading a book like Witches, Stitches & Bitches that has such strong female characters is exciting for me. If not a printed version, buy the very reasonably priced ebook ($3.99)
