The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale – Welp, One less thing to worry about
That one thing being, that I won’t have to pay attention to The Walking Dead on a weekly basis.
It’s not that the Walking Dead Finale disappointed specifically, it’s just that the whole season has been a rather big disappointment. Now that we (in my household) are moving to a new way of consuming our media. (Internet Streaming Only via Netflix/Hulu+) I’m going to just start waiting until Season 5 is done sometime in 2015 and I’ll binge watch to get caught up. It’s really the only way that I can think of following this show anymore.
Rick, Carl, Michonne and Daryl (Yeah they picked him up along the way) reach Terminus, and find everyone else. Hanging out in a train-car. Stripped of possessions, everything about Terminus being a sham. Then, the final words of dialog:
Rick:” They’re gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out.”
Abraham: “Find out what?”
Rick: “They’re screwing with the wrong people.”
If this had been the dialog maybe, 2 seasons ago after they first encountered The Governor, I may have been excited. This feels as a little too late in the game for me at this point for The Walking Dead. I understand character building and all that jazz, but everything about this season, about Terminus is pretty predictable. Aside from the very “Of Mice and Men” episode, I wasn’t really that engaged. Yeah, Rick biting out the guy’s throat when the marauders Daryl had joined up with caught up with him. The whole pending doom was tense for all .5 seconds of it. Maybe I’m just getting to nit picky. But like WPR Staffer Adrienne said in an earlier conversation that the Undead killing being over the top is ok, but at least keep the human stuff…human.
