That’s the multiplayer component of the game of course. Unlike Gears Of War 3, which requires a beta code, the multiplayer beta for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will be available for any PS3 owner with a PSN account on July 5th, according to Giant Bomb. If you want to get in a week earlier than that then the beta will be available on June 28th for Playstation Plus members and those who have “specially marked” copies of InFamous 2.
We also have a trailer for you above that gives you a glimpse of the mutliplayer modes of the Uncharted 3 beta. On the Playstation Blog you can find a detailed post about what the multiplayer beta contains. Here are some of the key details;
- There are two multiplayer maps, The Airstrip and The Chateau
- The modes available will be Team Deathmatch, 2vs2vs2 Team Deathmatch and Free For All
- Split Screen is available and each player can use an individual PSN ID
- Character customization will be available for the first time
It’s nice to see that a beta is being offered as an actual beta. These days betas are more like paid demos, given the fact that you usually need to preorder the game, or even another game to get it. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is out in November.
