Tucker Max is my hero
I’ve heard people take many different stances on Tucker Max. I’ve heard people say he’s a douchebag, that he makes shit up, that he’s a mysoginist, you get the picture. And I don’t know about all that, but I do know one thing. The motherfucker is funny, and that’s his job and he does it well.
Of course, not everyone is going to agree on what’s funny. This is why the Chicago Transit Authority recently pulled 250 ads for Max’s movie adaptation of his best-selling book, I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, from its buses. And what was so horrible about these posters? The fact that they touted the line “Strippers will not tolerate disrespect (just kidding)”. First off, if strippers really valued respect, they wouldn’t have become strippers in the beginning. But I digress.
Of course, Tucker Max, being Tucker Max, called the CTA out quite effectively. And by that I mean he told them in a statement to the press, “Blow me.” No shit. “All I have to say to these kooks and trolls is blow me,” the press release reads. It goes on to say, “Fuck those protestors if they can’t take a joke,” in regard to the various feminist groups boycotting the new movie.
If there’s one thing I can appreciate about a person, it’s the ability to tell people to fuck off if they don’t like you. We have enough passive-aggressiveness in this world as it is. I think everyone can learn a lesson here. Next time someone pisses you off, just tell them to suck your dick and walk away. It’s how Jesus would have wanted it.
