True Blood (Books) Coming to a Close

Writer Charlaine Harris confirmed in a new interview that the 13th book will be the last. Even though she’s only on writing the 12th, the 13th book of the series will be the final chapter for Sookie. True Blood fans will mourn (or just drink blood and party instead?) that probably one of the best modern vampire series is coming to a close. No. Twilight doesn’t count. Harris tried to make it very clear that the series will be coming to a complete end, closure for all. What that means and how it’s going to happen? We’ll, we will just have to wait to find out huh?

I guess that means that the HBO show will get at least 13 seasons? Not too shabby.

Just…keep your fangs in your mouth ok? Everything has to come to an end at some point!

I think it’ll be total closure. I don’t go back to things once I’ve finished them. That’s kind of what I do. I don’t want to write Sookie after I get stale. Yeah, I’ll miss them, I’m sure, because I have lived with them for quite a long time — 12 years now. And it did take two years to sell the first book. But I think writers like to do different things. At least this writer does.

Nope. I couldn’t get into these books. I read 1 chapter and it just felt like every other romantic vampire book.
