Blood Simple

Synopsis: The Coen Brothers’ first film Blood Simple follows a man who, after hiring a hitman to kill his cheating wife and her boyfriend, finds the hitman turning on him instead to collect the fee.

Miller’s Crossing

Synopsis: Miller’s Crossing is The Coen Brothers’ take on the gangster genre. A politican and his advisor both fall for the same woman which eventually leans to gangs and crime.

Raising Arizona

Synopsis: Long before Nicholas Cage was an Internet meme, he was in this Coen Brothers comedy about a criminal who marries the cop who constantly arrests him. When it’s discovered Cage can’t have children and a local couple have quintuplets, the two decide to kidnap one and raise the child as their own.

Good Will Hunting

Final Destination 2

Synopsis: You know the drill with these films. A person has a premonition of a Rube Goldberg esque disaster, they intrude with Death’s plans by saving themselves and a few others and then one by one they get picked off. This time it’s a girl and the disaster is on a highway. A guilty pleasure if you like elaborate deaths.

Synopsis: See above, but with a rollercoaster. The deaths in this one are amped up even more past ridiculousness.
