My fellow Americans, today we can finally get our grubby hands on the motion picture event of 2010. You can now own the film that will define the “gory robotic geisha action” genre for years to come. That’s right kids, Robogeisha is out on DVD and Blu-ray today, and you better get yourself a copy.

Robogeisha tells the timeless story of Yoshie and Kikue Kasuga, two geishas that are abducted by a steel manufacturer that turns them into cyborg assassins. With me so far? No? Too bad. The movie then focuses on Yoshie as she begins to realize that being a cybernetic killing machine disguised as a geisha that works for a steel company isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and she decides to take them down. There’s atomic bombs, giant buildings that turn into robots, and a tank transformation sequence for the ages. This film is the prime of Japanese storytelling, and must be seen by all.

…Ok, in all seriousness, Robogeisha is the next hilariousy gory action film from Noboru Igichi and Yoshihiro Nishimura, who teamed up and brought us the epic Machine Girl in 2008. Nishimura is also known for his special effects work in Tokyo Gore Police. Robogeisha is an intentionally bad movie with ridiculous weapons, special effects, and a plot that could probably kill brain cells… and it all comes together in a genius fashion. I am a huge fan of these films, and I highly recommend them to anyone who loves bad movies. It is very difficult to create a movie that will be purposely awful, but Robogeisha, like Machine Girl before it, pulls it off without a hitch. The bluray and DVD of Robogeisha are available today at Amazon and other retailers, and I highly recommend that people check it out.

Check out the trailer below if you need more convincing… you will not be disappointed.
