Twisted Pixel’s Kinect title is getting a release move from XBLA to Retail. It was announced during E3 but thanks to a video interview from Destructoid, we now know why. For one, the retail release has been in the works since February. The story is that the game was shown for entertainment purposes at a Microsoft Executive retreat with the likes of Steve Ballmer and basically said “why isn’t this retail so we can make even more money?”. The game looks OK, if not made a bit awkward by the Kinect controls, but does it really value a full retail price? The RRP may be lower than normal Xbox 360 games but that’s still a lot more than might what have been a 1200MSP XBLA title. It’d have to pack in a lot of content to make the price worth it.
