The Great Gatsby For NES Is Totally Better Than Cliffnotes

It’s been a while since I graduated high school, so I’m not exactly up on my knowledge of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s existential classic, The Great Gatsby, but I’m pretty sure you could get by in your freshman English class just by playing this NES adaptation.

It’s a pretty classy affair, complete with a fake origin story (along with manual art!) and just the right amount of Engrish. It also throws in a few Ninja Gaiden references, which are always welcome. If classic literature is your thing, or if you just like to hit flapper girls with hats, check it out. No one’s going to judge you.
