We all knew that this title was inevitable. We just didn’t know it was coming so soon!
Bethesda Softworks yesterday announced at the Spike Video Game Awards that its follow up to the popular The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is indeed coming, despite two Fallout games being completed since the last title in the franchise. The Elder Scrolls V, titled Skyrim, is meant to be a direct sequel to Oblivion, taking place in the chilly Tamriel province of Skyrim. While details are currently scarce, we do know from a previous interview with IGN that the title will not use the consistently problematic Gamebryo engine.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will hit shelves on the redundant date of November 11th, 2011.
