The Amory Wars: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 #9 – Review
What would you do if you found out that the person that you physically put to death is back and is planning revenge? Yeah, I’d be pooping my pants too.
Well, all I can say is that Inferno (Jesse Kilgannon) obviously doesn’t suffer from the same weak constitution that I have, and why should he…he’s one of the few living IRO-bots among Heaven’s Fence. But he certainly did not think that he’d ever see the face of the Supreme Tri-Mage Wilhelm Ryan again.
For those of you who haven’t started reading this series, you can pick up the #1 for only $1 this week at your favorite comic book store. While you’re there, also be sure to pick up volumes 1 and 2 (new this week!) trade paperbacks that collect the entire series up to this point.
This issue starts a new chapter in the IKSSE3 storyline as we now have most of the major players where they need to be to signal the battle that happens at House Atlantic.
This month, I have to say, that Aaron Kuder has hit it out of the ballpark as far as the artwork is concerned and the writing…I have no words to express how awesome it is to get a drawn out comic version of what occurred on the In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 album from Coheed & Cambria that is actually written by the band’s frontman, Claudio Sanchez. Peter David helps of course, but this is all Claudio’s baby as far as I’m concerned.
ART: 95%
OVERALL: 95%
By far my favorite two scenes in this book would have to be either seeing Al the Killer wearing a shirt with a unicorn on it, or the reactivation of Sizer at the hands of Claudio Kilgannon. The Tri-Mage knows where the Crowing has been hiding all this time and he’ll stop at nothing to silence him forever, if only the trio (Al, Claudio, and Ambellina) can make it to the spaceport to escape Godder Damm in Al’s ship, The Velorium Camper. We should be seeing some AMAZING things from this series in the upcoming months.
