Tarantino’s Hateful Eight Shelved

Thanks to some butthole in the entertainment industry, the initial draft for Quentin Tarantino’s ensemble western titled The Hateful Eight has been put away for a while. The script that was originally released to only a few actors, six if you believe Tarantino (not counting their representatives and talent agencies), was found out to be leaked when Tarantino’s agent started receiving calls from numerous agencies pushing their own clients for roles.

While the director stews over the leak and his apparent depression over this fact, he plans on putting his energy in another direction onto another project. He doesn’t say that it’s cancelled, but plans on revisiting the idea of making the movie somewhere in the next five years. In the meantime, Mr. Tarantino has said that he’ll probably release a long form of the script in a written version at some point in the near future.

The real kicker is that with all of this might and probably, he also stated that he reserves the right to change his mind at any time because and I quote the man, “I own the fucking thing.”
