Sell me something! In-Game Advertisements

by under FEATURED on Mar 21st
I Enjoy in-game ads. Call me crazy, but I don’t mind seeing a billboard for a film or a bodyspray and believe it or not advertisements in games are nothing new.

If you looked on the site earlier this week, then I’m sure you caught the story I posted about the WoW fan who managed to shut down the lore-makers of that universe with a few direct questions…well, he wants to clear the air, so to speak.

The Weekly Facepalm: Blizzcon 2009

by under PLAY, READ on Aug 7th
Not only is it bad enough that all of you suckers out there might be going to this show for 2 whopping days of Blizzard related convention topics like World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft, Diablo III, and perhaps Starcraft 2, but the fact that you dumbasses are spending $125 for a 2 day pass. The worst part about this is that all 20,000 (yes twenty thousand) conventioneers bought up all the tickets within 8 fucking minutes...

WoW to Feature Alignment Switching

by under PLAY on Jun 30th
The Ghostbusters are right about this one. Allowing people to go from Alliance to Horde and vice versa is just a seriously bad idea. There are just tons of things that won’t transfer over right and let’s face it…Blizzard hasn’t exactly had a great track record this week when it comes to making decisions about what features to implement in their games. I do think it’s somewhat cool that...

In this very interesting interview, Pardo admits that WoW was a major reason StarCraft 2 has been delayed. One of the reasons that StarCraft II had some delays very early on in development is because a fair amount of the design team went...

Is World of Warcraft Offensive? A WoW Junkie’s Analysis

by under PLAY on Jan 10th
It’s no secret that I’m a World of Warcraft junkie. I don’t play as much as I used to, but Blizzard has been getting my 15 bucks a month for a very long time. I would like to think I know this game inside and out, and so you can imagine my surprise when I read a report put out by The Timothy Plan, a  conservative christian investment firm, that lists WoW as the 20th most offensive game on the market. The...

Bionic Commando: Rearmed is Retro SEX

by under PLAY on Aug 21st
The first game that I ever recieved for my NES is one that I have rambled on and on about for over 20 years now. Bionic Commando was one of those rare gems for a system that wasn’t known exactly for its technical prowess. To this day, it remains one of the few 8-bit games that manages to impress me each time that I play it. I nearly had a heart attack when I found out last year that not only were they doing a...
