Zombies Invade!

by under WATCH on Mar 2nd
The Walking Dead have arrived . . . and they’re filled with beer!! The fine people at Taverncraft have brightened my day and recently bought the license to use the likenesses from The Walking Dead comic and etch them into beer steins, pint glasses and zippo-style lighters. The prices are a little high ($30 for the 25 oz etched glass stein, $20 for the lighters and $30 for the 2 etched pint glass set). Taverncraft...

Warcraft Support is TOO Nice

by under READ on Feb 5th
There’s a point where being nice to people who are obviously trying to troll you crosses the line. It’s nothing new that people have been hassling support systems with fake questions or asking for help doing homework, but when they ACTUALLY do it…I laugh and cry a little at the same time.

Red Shirt Guy Explains Himself

by under PLAY on Oct 29th
If you looked on the site earlier this week, then I’m sure you caught the story I posted about the WoW fan who managed to shut down the lore-makers of that universe with a few direct questions…well, he wants to clear the air, so to speak.

Ok, BlizzCon was last week and already the guys at Blizzard are starting to speak highly of another expansion yet to be titled, before their 3rd, Cataclysm, is even released.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Dated

by under PLAY on Oct 4th
I may not be one of the over 11.5 million people engaged in this franchise, but I must give them credit for putting the effort in to keep their title fresh. For those of you that do care, the following news may require a change in pants. Cataclysm, the newest expansion in World of Warcraft, is slated for release on December 7 for the price of $39.99. Continuing players can expect such perks as a level cap increase...

Blizzard Attempts to Change the Equation

by under PLAY on Jul 6th
I know that nobody associated with WPR or the various blogs/forums we have will ever need to worry about this, but if you’ve never heard of the John Gabriel’s Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory, then let me give you a bit of primer.

Hey everyone, it’s finally Friday again! You know what that means? Yep, a whole long ass weekend celebrating this country’s independence and of course…a new episode of the Red-Light Roundtable! How I Love Nerdrage

by under READ on May 14th
How many times have you felt absolute blinding rage at losing or changing a password? You know what I mean, those times where your piece of blinking uber-hardware just mocks you with its unwillingness to work. It just sits there silently judging you and making you feel more and more like a caveman with each failed attempt.

The Lich King…is Dead

The Weekly Facepalm: Blizzcon 2009

by under PLAY, READ on Aug 7th
Not only is it bad enough that all of you suckers out there might be going to this show for 2 whopping days of Blizzard related convention topics like World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft, Diablo III, and perhaps Starcraft 2, but the fact that you dumbasses are spending $125 for a 2 day pass. The worst part about this is that all 20,000 (yes twenty thousand) conventioneers bought up all the tickets within 8 fucking minutes...

Lifetime Champions Online Membership is a Steal at $200

by under PLAY on Aug 4th
As much as I want to understand why people pay monthly fees for games that don’t exactly have an ending, I probably never will until I get addicted myself. That’s not going to happen for a few more years at least when the Warhammer 40,000 MMO or the Fallout 3 MMO comes out. I have a friend you see, an avid MMO player in the World Of Warcraft, let’s call him Bevan Urkey. I’ve done a bit of MATHS...

WoW to Feature Alignment Switching

by under PLAY on Jun 30th
The Ghostbusters are right about this one. Allowing people to go from Alliance to Horde and vice versa is just a seriously bad idea. There are just tons of things that won’t transfer over right and let’s face it…Blizzard hasn’t exactly had a great track record this week when it comes to making decisions about what features to implement in their games. I do think it’s somewhat cool that...

Is World of Warcraft Offensive? A WoW Junkie’s Analysis

by under PLAY on Jan 10th
It’s no secret that I’m a World of Warcraft junkie. I don’t play as much as I used to, but Blizzard has been getting my 15 bucks a month for a very long time. I would like to think I know this game inside and out, and so you can imagine my surprise when I read a report put out by The Timothy Plan, a  conservative christian investment firm, that lists WoW as the 20th most offensive game on the market. The...
