Donate to the 2011 J-Pop Festival’s Kickstarter Page, Get Swag

by under PLAY on Jul 21st
It’s a win/win situation isn’t it? I mean, they’re not just asking for free money without giving you something in return. Seriously, if I were a San Francisco native, I’d be attending New People’s J-Pop Festival just to pick up the deliciously sweet crossover toy MIKU-KITTY.

Full Moon Available Now on Viz Anime and Hulu

by under WATCH on Apr 15th
You guys may give me some crap for being a fan of shoujo anime (usually for the teenage girls), but I refuse to listen. Some of the finest series in existence were shoujo by nature and I will not let you defame this genre of anime.

Kingyo Used Books Volume 1 – Review

by under READ on Apr 10th
As WPR’s senior weeaboo on staff, I know that Japan and manga are inseparable, but I didn’t realize the extent of manga’s popularity until I sat down and read Kingyo Used Books, Volume 1. Let’s just say that this is a manga for those that read manga, if you’re a neophyte…this probably isn’t the best book for you.

Watch Sunrise’s Tiger and Bunny on April 2nd

by under WATCH on Mar 30th
Growing up as an anime fan has been a double edged sword. The good side is that the art style and animation that I love so dearly is finally being noticed as a great medium, the bad side is that we’ve had to deal with some bad stuff over the years like Pokemon (it WAS terrible folks), the Just4Kids version of One-Piece, and the repetition of Naruto’s ‘believe it’ just to name a few.
