Dark Shadows Spyshots Make My Nerdrage Flare Up

by under WATCH on Sep 14th
I’m sorry, Tim Burton had a couple of great films, but for the most part you can see the signs of his influence in any project he has his hands on from 20 miles away. What makes matters worse is when Johnny Depp teams up with Burton. The two of them have this creepy synergy that causes some odd projects to be born.

Superman Sans Panties

by under WATCH on Aug 26th
I’m not too certain how many of you would react to the man of steel showing up without his trademark red-underoos-on-the-outside-of-my-trousers look, but it seems that on the set of the new Superman movie being directed by Zack Snyder is curious enough to find out.

Dead: Actor Michael Gough (94)

by under WATCH on Mar 17th
I hate saying it, but I think once you cross 90, you are pretty much running on borrowed time. Today, Actor Michael Gough (Alfred in 1989 Batman) passed away. While perhaps to us most known for Batman, Gough had a long standing career that spanned over 5 decades. Of his titles, are some notables: Blakes 7, They Came from Beyond Space, and Agatha Christie. Gough never seemed to play large roles, always preferring to...

If You Can Make It Through This Scene…

by under WATCH on Mar 30th
Then by all means, go watch the new Disney’s Alice in Wonderland movie that Tim Burton made, if you can’t…then you’re better off staying away. This is the one scene that just made me fucking rage when I saw it in the theater a few weeks back. You can hear all of that anger on last week’s episode of The Red-Light Roundtable podcast, made even funnier by it being a drunken rant.

Burton to Direct Dark Shadows Feature

by under WATCH on Dec 7th
Though the idea of a Dark Shadows feature film has been on the table for some time now, producer Graham King has confirmed that Tim Burton will begin shooting in early fall 2010, with Johnny Depp slated to play lead vampire Barnabas Collins.  For those not familiar with the series, Dark Shadows is a gothic soap opera from the 1960s.  Its over 1000 episode run and catering towards both a male and female audience made...

9 – Trailer

by under WATCH on Aug 13th
I’ll be the first to admit, anyone that uses Coheed & Cambria in their trailer has an automatic ticket purchase from me. Not only that but look at the friggin’ cast for this movie! Jesus, Christopher Plummer and Martin Landau…I swear the last movie he was in was the first X-Files movie. You’ve also got John C. Reilly and Elijah Wood for cryin’ out loud, holy crap this looks to be good....

Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland – The Game

by under PLAY on Aug 7th
I’ll admit it, I’m a massive Tim Burton fan. I think that a good majority of us whores here are too. Whether it be PeeWee’s Big Adventure or the 1989 Batman movies, the guy just has a knack for turning the normal into the obscene. It is no stretch to me that he should do an Alice in Wonderland story…the man’s brain is wired differently enough to make it work. What came as a surprise to me...

SDCC09: Alice in Wonderland – Trailer

by under WATCH on Jul 24th
Alice in Wonderland debuted yesterday at SDCC with the above trailer,  I really like visual aesthetic of the film, with everything looking larger than life it looks like something I could have dreamed up as a kid.  The film looks dark and twisted as well which is a good thing, the original book wasn’t a happy kids story and I’m glad to see they seem to be going for that type of story rather than a typical...

Tim Burton has ‘Burtonized’ Wonderland, all fans rejoice

by under WATCH on Jun 22nd
If that image above doesn’t send chills down your spine, we need to check your pulse. I honestly had no idea that Tim Burton was working on an Alice in Wonderland remake but now that I have seen some of the first screens and art pieces I can honestly say I’m starting to get excited for this flick. When there are such amazing actors as Alan Rickman, Christopher Lee, Michael Sheen, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham...
