Geek Movies 2010: Nick Edition

I just realized how great 2010 was for great science-fiction/comic book/geek cinema. I can’t believe each of these came out this year. Here’s my favorites in no particular order.

A Primer for Scott Pilgrim Newbies

Are you new to comics? Have you been wondering what all of the nerdgasms have been over when it comes to the Scott Pilgrim movie coming out? Well wonder no more as the actors explain the story to the movie in short form (about 2 minutes). If you watched the other trailers, there’s maybe one or two things you haven’t seen in this featurette, but it’s hammering the point home that this is simply a movie...

As if the trailer we shared with you earlier in the week weren’t enough, we now have a delightfully geeky commercial for the boob tube to watch over and over. I never knew that bread makes you fat!

Scott Pilgrim doing battle against 7 evil ex-boyfriends (one’s a girl, squeeee) in order to win the heart of his beloved Ramona? Win. What’s even cooler is that this trailer was posted because of the film’s staff listening to the voice of their audience.
