Wool Omnibus Edition (Wool 1 – 5) (Silo Saga) – Book Review

by under READ on Feb 16th
If you even REMOTELY like Science Fiction, you MUST read Wool. Man, trying to come up with a great intro about this book is hard, hard. Why? Do you ask? Well, it’s not that often that I read something that really take my conceptions of Science Fiction, Post-Apocalyptic and a splash of Dystopian, then blows me away with the story telling as they mix together. I had the same feeling when I finished this book, as...

Revolution Mid-Season 1 Sputters into a Break

by under WATCH on Dec 12th
I was covering Revolution every episode until that Train episode. To say some kind of train pun about it being the point where I started to not care anymore might be too easy. Really, the show isn’t that bad it’s really, the best (and only) kind of post apoc show that is on right now. Damn you Falling Skies and being a summer programming show. Here are my issues with Revolution: The “main character” isn’t...

TV Review, Falling Skies Premiere Warms my Post Apoc Heart

by under WATCH on Jun 23rd
In case you missed it, last Sunday was the Steven Spielberg produced TV series premier of Falling Skies on TNT. The Post Apoc on TV standard has been raised. If you didn’t know already, I’m a die hard for anything post apocalyptic, it all started when my Dad let me watch Mad Max as a kid. I’ve been sucked into the Genre ever since. So while this show really does cater to my loves it also does a great job of bringing...

Gundam Style Mechs in a Dystopian Future Conspiracy Movie? SOLD!

by under WATCH on Apr 20th
The reason why this movie has to be crowd funded is because Hollywood won’t get on board. It doesn’t fit the criteria of a Prequel, Sequel, Reboot, Mash Up, Comic Book or Novel Adaptation of a bunch of stuff that has already been done before so much that the dead horse they’ve been beating isn’t there anymore. It’s just an old man beating on the shadow outline of a horse.

The Colony, Season 2 Episode 1: Review

by under READ, WATCH on Jul 26th
Brutal. That is the best word I can come up with after I watched the first episode of the second season. It’s like this, remember all those complaints people had during the first season about realism, and the real sense that there wasn’t any “danger”? That is turned around. On day TWO. How great was it? Hold my hand my friend, I’m about to take you on a ride that is the Second Season of...

The Colony: Returns for Season 2

by under READ, WATCH on Jul 15th
That’s right people, all of you that watched the first season that complained about how horrible the show was, and how it’s not realistic enough for you, etc, etc. It’s back, and I’m very excited to see where the turn takes this season. I’ll be keeping you up to date on all 10 episodes and hopefully can get some interviews like I did for season 1. Looking at the cast bio’s it does...

Why The Flintstones Is Actually Set In An Apocalyptic Future

by under WATCH on Jul 28th
Ah The Flintstones. It’s another classic cartoon from the golden age of cartoons. A perfectly innocent cartoon which is filled with charm and leaves you feeling good about yourself…OR AT LEAST THAT’S WHAT HANNA BARBERA WANTS YOU TO THINK. You see, The Flintstones isn’t as innocent as it seems. The cartoon makes itself look as if it is set in the stone ages, but actually, after noticing cryptic...
