Holy…friggin’…crap…I’m serious, I think I just dropped a pantload while watching this video. Id Software opened up QuakeCon with the trailer you just saw up above for RAGE, the Fallout 3-ish, Mad Max-ish, The Hills Have Eyes-ish game that has sprung from the deviant minds of the same people who brought us Doom and Quake.
We all know that Batman is a world-class detective and a rich kid with parent issues, but we also know that a good part of what makes Batman so awesome are all of the amazing gadgets that he has at his disposal. This trailer just ratcheted up my desire for this game to come out […]
I just stumbled upon this video for one of the games that has been entered into the Dream Build Play Challenge that looks amazing like a cross between Strider and Castlevania in gameplay. It does my heart good to see that people are still trying to keep 2D gaming alive.
Thanks Eurogamer! The game is looking pretty badass right now. Click to embiggen.
The man behind Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, let us in on a little info recently about his upcoming game Borderlands. Apparently the best looking version of the game will be released on the PC, but in his own words: “The PC version destroys all the console versions in terms of the image fidelity – assuming you […]
As much as I want to understand why people pay monthly fees for games that don’t exactly have an ending, I probably never will until I get addicted myself. That’s not going to happen for a few more years at least when the Warhammer 40,000 MMO or the Fallout 3 MMO comes out. I have […]
If you were holding out on picking up Dawn of War II for some reason, now’s your chance. All THQ games on Steam are now 50% off (for the time being). This means that you can pick up DoWII for $25! That’s a hell of a deal. There’s no telling when the sale ends, so […]
Yet another game is getting the ‘push’ treatment. This time it’s Dark Void, the “Bermuda Triangle taking people to alternate universes, also jetpacks” game that looks great has been announced yesterday to be pushed to the first quarter of 2010. The game was set to be direct competition with Halo: ODST, but Capcom decided that […]
Isn’t it ironic that people have been choosing to strap themselves into their computers to play a game where the story is about people struggling to free themselves from machine control? Anyways, this shitty MMO dies as of today. To let people actually have fun in the game, they’ve been level bumped to the cap […]

Ever wonder what kind of private hell game developers put themselves through? I do, and after hearing about the private dread that Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford has been having…I don’t think I’d ever want to be in his position. His company’s big title hitting the shelves this holiday season, Borderlands, is facing some stiff competition. “When […]
Capcom has announced that they will be releasing their new IP, Dark Void, on both the PC and consoles simultaneously. This is quite unprecdented seeing how no other company has been able to match up having the different platform versions launch same day before. It’s just more proof to me that PC gaming is going […]
I could care less for the stat tracker news that came out today about the new id Software Wolfenstein coming out. I just liked the fact that the developers told MTV that you will kill in the ballpark of 1,600 Nazis. I had no interest in picking this game up when it comes out for […]
If you lurk the internets as much as I do, you’ve probably heard about Good Old Games. If you haven’t, GOG is Polish developer CD Projekt’s foray into the wonderful world of digital distribution. This wonderful little website sells old PC games, filling the niche of providing hard to find relics of the past. Since […]
