You gotta hand it to these guys, when it comes to Muppets trailers, it’s a solid lock on the tongue in cheek…or whatever it is a frog would do.

New Green Lantern Featurette

by under WATCH on Jun 13th
You know what, if this doesn’t make you want to see the movie (I guess I’ve finally been converted?) I’m not sure what will. Maybe it was the line we see after he puts on the ring “To infinity and Beyond…By the power of Greyskull…..what the hell!” that got me. I couldn’t help but crack a smile and remember why Ryan Reynolds is one of my favorite actors. You’ve got...

Elisabeth Moss is Arisia in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

by under WATCH on May 25th
I still maintain that DC is the master of animated comic stories…but then again I don’t really follow Marvel’s attempts at animated series ever since the end of the classic 90s X-Men and maybe the current anime version. Anyways, if you’ve ever seen an episode of Mad Men, then you know just who Ms. Moss is.

Henry Rollins is Kilowog in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

by under WATCH on May 19th
Whether it be his work with Black Flag, his eponymous Rollins Band, the acting work he’s done over the years, his spoken word tours, or his hosting abilities, Rollins is a force of nature…and in my opinion, the perfect pick to voice the Green Lantern drill sergeant Kilowog.

Watch Elisabeth Moss as Green Lantern’s Arisia

by under WATCH on May 12th
While everyone always is quick to point out Christina Hendric k on Mad Men, I’ve always been partial to Elisabeth Moss (Peggy). So when I heard that she was playing Green Lantern-in-training, Arisia for the upcoming Green Lantern

New Green Lantern CG Suit Images STILL Don’t Sell Me on the Movie

by under READ on Apr 12th
Much like when Iron Man came out, I don’t know jack about the Green Lantern character. But with Iron man, it had something that just drew me in and made me want to dive into the back story. After seeing these new images, I’m still not getting that sensation to jump on the Green Lantern hysteria that my geeky brethren are going crazy about.

Hal Mother-Effing Jordan

by under WATCH on Feb 24th
Sorry, but that’s what I think of when I hear the term Green Lantern. The guy is a DC legend and deserves every bit of awe that comes his way. The fact that he’s being voiced by Nathan Fillion in the new Green Lantern Emerald Knights movie coming out in 2011, is just icing on the cake.

Maybe it was the holding back thing from the last episode, but this one seemed to be one of our dirtiest yet. Yeah, that’s a good thing. The Birds of Prey Mock Superhero Phalli

by under WATCH on Sep 29th
I’m a big fan of Batman: The Brave and the Bold series that’s running on Cartoon Network right now, it’s got a Dietrich Bader voiced Batman and tons of DC Comics B-List heroes. I mean, they’re not afraid to bring the likes of Plastic Man and Wildcat out of obscurity to fight alongside Bruce Wayne, which is awesome. The show reminds me a lot of the Silver Age Batman, in so much as he’s not...

Justice League: The New Frontier Review

by under WATCH on Aug 6th
You know a Justice League animated movie is more than a little different when in the first 6 minutes two people get shot in the face, one covering a main character’s face in weird maroon colored blood. This is the odd duck that is Justice League: The New Frontier.

Green Lantern – First Glance at Sinestro

by under READ, WATCH on Jul 27th
Last week we got to see Ryan Reynolds in his full costume for the new Green Lantern movie being made by Warner Brothers…today we get to take a look at the face of Mark Strong as Sinestro. Mr. Strong might be best remembered from movies like Sherlock holmes where he played Lord Blackwood, or as Septimus in the movie version of the Neil Gaiman novel Stardust. That’s not all, it seems to me that Strong is quickly...
