I don’t normally like stooping to making posts about the financial reporting of any company, but today I just couldn’t help myself after reading online that Square Enix is blaming everyone else for their business losses this year.

Back in October I reported that Final Fantasy XIV, an MMORPG released by Square Enix in September, had received a 30 day extension on its trial period. Now as we enter into the month of April, the game is…still free  

Final Fantasy XIV Trial Period Extended

In response to almost universal lambasting, Square Enix has extended the free trial of their newest MMO, Final Fantasy XIV, for 30 more days. The offer will extend to anyone with a registered account with a character prior to October 25th. Square Enix has admitted that the feedback and current state of the game are the main reasons for the trial increase. So what say you Final Fantasy XIV player(s), will the prospect... 

RLR #55 – Curious Foods

Hey everyone, guess what? It is Wednesday, yet all of you get a new episode of the Red-Light Roundtable! You see, I have to go out of town when the show normally records so I got the panel together early last night and we pounded out a brand new megasode of RLR.

I’ll give it to Square Enix, they certainly know how to make real pretty CG. I’m still uncertain how the job card system will work in-game…but I’m pretty interested in seeing this game in action.
