How Homefront Pussed Out

by under PLAY on Jan 14th
The publishers of the soon to be released game Homefront originally had the Chinese as their enemy of choice in the game where America gets sacked by a bit of a “Surprise Asians” attack (like the one that will live in infamy). Only now we’ve got the Koreans to fight instead of the Chinese, and it’s all because someone warned them not to.

What I WPR’d #7 – Of Concerts and Holidays

by under FEATURED on Jan 14th
I needed to get a fire lit under myself and start producing a lot more. I’ve put off talking about the next few subjects but I’m more than ready. This time I’m going to talk about a concert I went to a while back as well as a few other random things I’ve been doing the past little while. As well as a little retrospective on the year 2010.

Do you own the Xbox 360 version of New Vegas? Good news! You’ll be the only ones who get to have the first crack at new DLC for the game. Sorry all you PS3 and PC players, but Xbox won the drawing and they get to be the ones to have this new content before you. Just in time for the holiday.

RLR #34 – Pickles on Glass

by under Uncategorized on Apr 26th
This week’s episode of The Red-Light Roundtable almost didn’t happen. That’s right, we almost didn’t have an episode ready for you this morning…well I should say that I nearly fucked everything up. Between me having perhaps the worst work weekend in a long time and the ‘troubles’ we had this episode, I was sweating bullets as to whether or not this episode was going to make it...

Metro 2033 – Journey into the Unknown Trailer

by under PLAY on Feb 7th
I’ll admit, this one snuck up on me. But it looks like it’ll be one hell of a game. There are already rumors abound about this game being a potential Fallout: New Vegas killer, but those people must obviously not ever paid any attention to any the Fallout format. Regardless of the rampant fanboy battles, this game is graphically impressive like no other.

Special Edition Sucker

by under PLAY on Mar 10th
P.T. Barnum is known for his excellent one-liners, my favorite being that “There’s a sucker born every minute.” I am one of these suckers and didn’t quite notice it until the other day. I was looking through my game collection and I noticed that I have quite a few ‘Limited Editions’ and ‘Collector’s Editions’ sitting on my shelves. I started to think about the additional...

My Playlists, let me show you them

by under PLAY on Nov 17th
Video game soundtracks are part and parcel to a video game itself. With the right score and music a scene might move you to tears or make you laugh at humor and jokes you normally would not. It can also drive you bat shit insane when you listen to the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Suffering from a very severe case of ADD it does not take me long to grow sick and tired of...

Good Old Games: Holy Crap, This Is Awesome

by under PLAY on Sep 11th
If you lurk the internets as much as I do, you’ve probably heard about Good Old Games. If you haven’t, GOG is Polish developer CD Projekt’s foray into the wonderful world of digital distribution. This wonderful little website sells old PC games, filling the niche of providing hard to find relics of the past. Since they have opened up their doors for a closed beta that I was able to get myself into,...
