The staff at Starbreeze Studios (The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, The Darkness) are working on a secret game for some time now…years even, that hasn’t been given an official title yet except for the secretive ‘Project Redlime’ codename.

Fans of Bioware’s epic science-fiction franchise are rejoicing worldwide as Warner Bros, Electronic Arts, Legendary Pictures, and Bioware have announced that a movie based on Mass Effect has been greenlit.
In a recent interview with OXM, the lead designer on the critically acclaimed title Black (that EA put out a few years back), stated that he finds most of the current generation cover system based shooters “fucking boring”.
Check the screenshot (which has since been fixed). Looks like I won’t have to blow the dust off my Wii after all. Good, I’d rather play it on my PS3 instead of the Wii. I’m also glad that the gameplay will be completely 2D like all sports games should be.

Ok so what makes the people at EA think that anyone who has a console could even be remotely interested in picking up an eighteen month old game…let alone one that doesn’t seem to be that user friendly without a mouse. That’s exactly what they’re doing, and that’s not all.
