Phil Coulson LIVES

by under WATCH on Apr 29th
There has been rampant speculation as to whether we will see the return of Agent Phil Coulson (if you don’t know who we’re talking about, you don’t belong on this website) in the form of the android Vision if/when he rejoins The Avengers cast, well we now know, so can you.

Death of Chi

We don’t normally jump on the normal news bandwagon when it comes to celebrity deaths, but I feel that the passing of the Deftones’ bassist Chi Cheng deserves a second of your time.

The Mythbusters Damn Near Killed Some People [UPDATED]

by under WATCH on Dec 7th
Pandering? You're Goddamned right! In a recent show segment that was filmed at the ubiquitous Alameda County bomb range that they frequent on just about every damn episode, something went wrong…terribly wrong.

RLR #113 – The People’s Elbow

by under FEATURED on Nov 13th
It’s either a genius move to allow us to drink copious amounts of malt liquor before and during a show, or it’s a terrible idea and should never be done again. You decide.

Your Nintendo 3DS May Suffer A From Black Screen of Death

by under PLAY on Mar 28th
A few Nintendo 3DS owners are reporting that they are receiving a “black-screen-of-death” on their new Nintendo handhelds due to an overheating issue. While this doesn’t seem to be widespread (yet) it bears mentioning that even Nintendo can’t escape issues with hardware.

‘Black Death’ Has Me Very Excited

by under WATCH on Feb 10th
You should all know who Sean Bean is by now, if you don’t just looking at him should remind you of a certain character from Lord of the Rings. When you add the plague, swords, madness, and just the insanity of that whole era, you get Black Death. I’m so pumped for March 11th to get here.

WPR Discusses – Workday Supernova

by under READ on Aug 11th
Our WPR chatroom at work can yield some interesting discussions, much like the one that we just had about nuclear weaponry and supernovae…seriously we’ve just had a 30 minute long discussion about 1 Gigaton explosions, antimatter, and our own Sol going supernova. We speculate, because we’re not scientists, that the 1 AU that the ‘splosion would have to cross (if the radiation didn’t kill...

Later, Gary Coleman

by under Uncategorized on May 28th
A pigeon flew to WPR carrying a note on its foot. Why do we use such an archaic form of communication? Seriously, that’s what the note said. Oh, and Gary Coleman died. Gary Coleman has died at age 42. According to Radar, Coleman had been hospitalized in Utah since Wednesday, May 26th, after suffering what his family has been calling “a serious medical problem.” Coleman suffered an intracranial hemorrhage,...

Zelda, Don’t Go Into The Light!!!

by under READ, WATCH on Jan 28th
If you were alive in the 80s then I’m sure you’ve seen at least one iteration of the Poltergeist movies since your birth. If you remember the psychic lady from the first movie who urged Carol Anne “Don’t go into the light!” then you might be a little saddened to learn that Zelda Rubenstein shuffled off this mortal coil yesterday at the age of 76.

Michael Jackson, Obviously Loved PlayStation

by under READ on Jul 21st
Thanks to the wonders of Ebay, morbid people like me can take pleasure in seeing other , more morbid people attempt to sell of the worldly remains of now dead celebrities. This isn’t exactly that, but there really is an auction going on right now in which a man is attempting to sell off his signed PlayStation…were talking ORIGINAL PlayStation, you know, the one with the bottleneck ram and the penchant to...

Scoreboard for new Wolfenstein – Allies: 1,600 Nazis: 0

by under PLAY on Jun 26th
I could care less for the stat tracker news that came out today about the new id Software Wolfenstein coming out. I just liked the fact that the developers told MTV that you will kill in the ballpark of 1,600 Nazis. I had no interest in picking this game up when it comes out for PC, 360, and PS3 this August until I heard this statistic. That’s a shitload of people to shoot. I might actually have to give it a chance...
