Conan, King of the Western Ocean faces a dilemma, leave his queen and crew, who are sick with The Death or stay with an unknown future.
Conan is out of Cimmeria, and back on his ship with his Queen Belit. They are rulers supreme of the Western Ocean, but now, they have The Death.
I’ve slowly started dipping back into comics, thanks to Dark Horse Publishing, who seem to be putting out the stuff that draws me back into the fold. They have CONAN! CROM!
CROM! Dark Horse has answered my prayers, Queen of the Black Coast adaption! Here are the first 8 pages.
In your quest for manliness you must know who you are attempting to emulate. Take heed while you read within so you may avoid following these charlatans (although many are good for a laugh).
My final and probably most favorite of all the Conan comics that came to us courtesy of Dark Horse Comics. Black Colossus should be a Conan movie in it’s own right.
One of the longest single issue of a comic that I’ve read in a long time, 64 pages. How was it? Damn good.
This two issue arc by Dark Horse was a break in the six part Road of Kings run that they did for the Conan the Barbarian comics. Man, this didn’t disappoint.
Reading these Conan adaptions that Dark Horse has done of the Robert E. Howard writings has inspired me to take my Conan knowledge beyond that of the movies.
Little Red Envelope In my mailbox this week: Conan: The Destroyer Release Year: 1984 Staring: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Grace Jones, Wilt Chamberlain The Manliest Man, The Manliest Woman, and The Manliest Basketball player, join guide a princess on her destiny, and defender her virginity.
What better way to kick Crom Week off than with the movie based on the comic based on the book that started it all?
Seriously. Watch this and then try to tell me how can you not want to become a barbaric interloper on a path of destruction?
While watching this I not only grew a full beard and full on mass of chest hair, sprouted muscles all over my body. Then I drank a barrel of ale and killed a cow for consumption. All of this in 1:46.
Why is there no reason? Because BOOM! Studios made it so damn accessible it’s impossible to not have a way to get your hands on the new comic.
I can die happy never again hearing Greg’s disturbing introduction.
