by under PLAY on Aug 28th
On July 31st, 2012, an ominous countdown in the shape of a Keywork left the website of Coheed and Cambria, and was replaced by a trailer and announcement. The moment we had all been waiting for was finally coming.

Immortal Midget and Cocaine-Addled Pimp Bird

Normally, I’d start this with something along the lines of ‘ignore misleading title’. But, don’t ignore the title, because it is in no way misleading. Kill Audio is just that awesome.

Year of the Black Rainbow – Review

by under READ on Nov 13th
The album, Year of the Black Rainbow, has been out and in my hands for well over a year (damn near 18 months now) and I just this week got around to reading the novel that came with my Deluxe Edition. The shame of this has only now struck home as I have finished the book by Claudio Sanchez and Peter David and am now kicking myself for waiting so long.

Children of the fence, there’s not much to show you in the ways of screenshots or anything, but if you’re headed to SDCC next week, make sure you stop by booth #1031 to not only check the game out, but to pick up the latest trade of The Amory Wars: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3.

The Amory Wars: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 #12 – Review

by under READ on Jul 9th
It might be almost a week after it was released to the public, but with an issue of this magnitude, I’m sure many of you can forgive a fanboy for going a bit emo over the having to bid adieu to his favorite comic series.

Neverender: Second Stage Turbine Blade Tour 2011 Impressions

by under FEATURED on May 25th
For a world filled with people who claim to have faith in their religion, being a man that lacks that himself doesn’t necessarily mean that I’ve never experienced a religious moment. They are usually rare, and more often than not don’t have jack to do with God at all…and I’m lucky to have had two of them in the relatively short span of the last six months.

The penultimate issue of The Amory Wars IKSSE3 will have quite possibly driven me insane over the next month as I sit here anticipating the final issue of the excellent series from BOOM! Geek Dad Report: I Have Seen My Last Concert

by under FEATURED on May 10th
I’m not saying this because the Coheed and Cambria concert I recently went to while they were in Salt Lake City blew me away onto some spiritual level that can never be attained, but it was something special for me.

Sheesh, you’d think with this 4th day of MCoM being dedicated to Coheed & Cambria’s epic album Good Apollo I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One that The Writing Writer would have come to a decision about whether he will or won’t kill Ambellina in his story.
