Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Sequel in the Works…Already

Damn, Konami, you definitely aren’t wasting any time with your franchise reboot. Oscar Araujo, composer of the soundtrack to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, let slip that the he had been hard at work at the music for the previously unannounced sequel, claiming that “the second will be more spectacular”. The sequel will yet again be helmed by Spanish developer MercurySteam. Konami has yet to comment...

I’ve been reading through various videogame Twitter accounts recently, and got a bit caught up when I read the one for the new Castlevania game being developed in conjunction with Hideo Kojima.  

Metal Gear Remake…Maybe?

Kojima had an interview with Kotaku recently about many things, but the one thing that many of us gaming whores are picking up on is the statement he had about doing a remake of the original Metal Gear, which appeared on the MSX2 waaay back in 1987 when I was a mere lad of seven.

Never have I heard this name/term used so much ever since the announcement of the new XBLA game Shadow Complex. Now I see stories and articles are led with this made up and fake genre. Just seems like one big mistake made by a not-in-the-know developer and the rest of the press just followed suit. Hooray for bloggers!!! What’s my beef with this term being thrown around? Well for the most part, it isn’t accurate...
